Memphis Grizzlies seek writers for website

The Beale Street Bears (the Memphis Grizzlies affiliate website on FanSided Network is currently looking for writers.

Some of the requirements/perks are:

–2 posts per week (plus a weekly site roundtable).

–Cover games through the site’s Twitter account

–Media credential opportunities through games, press conferences, practices, etc.

–Fan of the Memphis Grizzlies or NBA basketball. It’s a must for writers to be fans to create a fun atmosphere for both the contributors and the readers.

 

A non-paying position, but it could still open many doors.

Selma Times-Journal has immediate opening for reporter

General Assignment/Sports Reporter

The Selma Times-Journal has an immediate opening for a general assignment reporter to help cover historic Selma, Alabama and the region known as the Black Belt of Alabama.

The position will focus on sports but will also include general assignment reporting and well as photography and design responsibilities of our six-day morning daily newspaper.

Successful candidates should possess strong organizational and editing skills and be familiar with newspaper design programs, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and be fluent in AP style.

The Times Journal is just one of the products produced by Selma Newspapers, Inc. SNI is also focused on developing specialty niche products, such as our community lifestyle magazine, Selma The Magazine, and continued development of our digital products.
