The Birmingham Business Journal is looking for a talented aspiring journalist for its paid summer internship program. Summer interns gain valuable experience both in print and online writing for an award-winning publication. Previous internship experience is a plus, but not a necessity. Business reporting experience is not necessary.
The BBJ publishes a weekly print edition and two daily email editions, providing an excellent opportunity for candidates to write a substantial number of stories in a variety of forms (breaking news, profiles, features, etc.). The BBJ is part of American City Business Journals, which has papers in 40 major markets around the nation.
Several UA students have interned at BBJ in recent years and have gained tremendous experience and portfolio material.
BBJ Editor in Chief Ty West will be on campus February 9 to interview interested candidates and answer questions about the internship program.
Contact Ty West at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an interview time on February 9.
