Paid Internship At Birmingham-Based Momentum

Momentum, a non-profit executive women’s leadership program, is looking for a paid intern to work 12-20 hours per week, starting in September and continuing until May 2011.

Momentum is located in Birmingham, Ala., in Lakeview’s Pepper Place building.

General duties:
– Use of Microsoft Word: mail merge, create envelopes and labels
– Use of Microsoft Excel: organize and sort information; maintain data lists
– Use of InDesign or Microsoft Publisher: create flyers, invitations, documents
– Use of Microsoft Power Point: assist in presentations
– Research for projects and retreats
– Compiling and organizing
– Composing/editing drafts of letters and proofing documents
– Ordering office supplies
– Recording feedback from surveys
– Running various errands
– Prepping materials for and assisting on sessions days

Qualifications:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point)
– Ability to learn new skills on the job and use them
– Organization and good work ethic
– Ability to work independently
– Car with up-to-date license and insurance
