You’re invited to come hear journalist and book author John Marks talk about his experiences as a former 60 Minutes producer (2000-2005) and Berlin bureau chief for U.S. News and World Report. He will Skype in to Dr. Lowrey’s Media Sociology doctoral seminar Thursday, Feb. 23, at 11:30 a.m., in Room 325.
Mr. Marks will also talk about the “Purple State of Mind” project that he and a colleague recently undertook, involving a film production, a book, and speaking tours around the country. The project was an effort to move people beyond the red state/blue state split (so, “purple”).
